Our Cantabile

Just finished the drama version of "Nodame Cantabile" (thanks sango!).

I have to blog this, i really need to. My eyes are swelling with tears right now. The series' good. But the main reason for tears is that it made memories flood back. All the way back to when I was in secondary school. My most presious, most glorious period of my entire life. I remembered the first time I CONDUCTED ON STAGE. When I was 14. Although ours was far from an ochestra... it was my honour to be able to do so. I missed my band members! So much... so much I couldn't find a word to describe the magnitude of it. Fragments of time retrospect itself... collecting them... remembering them.. keeping them close to the heart... when I strode for the first time in national parade with a 3kg saxaphone... how I dreamt of bringing our band to another level, on par, no.. better than the teams of St. John & VI... Yes, that dream was the main reason I endured the sun, the military fashion trainning... The band was all I have at that time, my refuge from my broken family. I miss them all....

Where are they now? The swift directing of the mace, the graceful fall of the drum sticks, the rhythm... the deep tones of the lower brass - the trombone! And yes, of course, the winds.... the clarinet that I struggled so much to learn. Until my lips changed shape. The slightly thick nub of flesh in the centre of the upper lip... was the evidence that I love the reed mouthpiece so much.

Yes.. that band saved me.. it gave me a home... a cantabile so that I didn't stride down the wrong path...

Geez! I need a break!

Just got back from work and now I'm slumping in front of my pc again. Finally the project that I've been busy with for the past two months is done. Yeah, it'll launch in a day or two. I'm proud of it!

Not forget to mention that my grandma passed away peacefully last Monday 17.9.2007 at the ripe age of 93 years. I really can't imagine myself living for almost a century. I'll miss her. All the knitting that she taught me, the bright red cardigan that she knitted for me when I was a kid... maybe that's when my desire for the color of red began. I caught everything on the video, from the mass to the funeral. I didn't feel sad at all, frankly I didn't even cried a tear. Just a little guilt, maybe slightly more than a little, because I don't think that I've done anything remarkable for her. But still, she's grandma and all. She's in a better place now.

I just wanna live for today so that I'll have no regrets tomorrow. And maybe the first step towards that is a shower right now so that I won't blame myself for having rashes tomorrow! Chuckles!

Sense and Sensibility

Went shopping with daddy & mummy yesterday evening at 1 Utama. There's this sinful & tempting event going on - SALE! I saw this "buy me, you know that you wanna" grey cardigan blouse at Padini. Went into the fitting room cubicle with Mummy to try it on along with another few garmets. After putting it on, it won me over completely. I wanted to buy this now "you must buy me" blouse which cost RM 99. But it'll definitely burn one hell of a big hole in my pocket! Mummy, being sensible as always (even when she's naked, said "Don't buy. It's too expensive" while trying on another blouse herself. So I'm in a dilemma. To buy or not to buy? While still pondering, mummy asked,"Where's the camera?" My train of toughts snapped off. Oh, the digicam that I brought long to take pictures of the Christmas trees? Mummy took out the camera and said,"You like the blouse? We can snap a pic of it (in the fitting room cubicle). So you don't have to buy it." I was like uh, um well.. ok.

The moral of the story, bring your mum with you when you go shopping? Well, not really but at least I'm not a hunred ringgit poorer. Chuckles! ^^

YAWN!! Another lazy Sunday afternoon at home. Just finished reading the Nana scanlations yesterday.. Huh? Oh, I read all the 15 volumes non-stop – for 8 hours straight! Till morning. Slept at 4 a.m. Hmmm… the power of Takumi!? I’m totally used and spent by that charming prince.. Tired! I can’t get up... I wanna sleep... some more... zzzz... It’s all your fault Takumi... you bastard… zzzz…

Weird Guy!

I just got some verbal assult from my boss yesterday evening, that's 15 minutes before I call it a day. Some luck! He called me into his room and I got those "really" nice words from him - for something beyond my control and fault. Ok - whatever! Jeng! Jeng! Jeng! This's the best part.. While slumping half dead, I dragged myself to the LRT station. I bumped into Mei Kheng! We had a great night together. Luv ya Phi Phi ^^

Oh, back to my boss. He took me out for lunch today and said he's sorry. Weird huh? Since when did bossy bosses knew how to apologize? Just darn weird.. Ok - whatever! Jeng! Jeng! Jeng! This's the best part.. He's on a 2 weeks leave starting next Monday! Hurrah! Hurray! Horray! Long live the boss! ^^

Workaholic?

I took up Mei Kheng's advice, that is I should start looking for a job before I graduate. Thanks Mei Kheng. Love you! :) I gave it some thoughts and I think it's a very practical thing to do. Keng Keng thinks that I'm actually nuts! Haha.. She said why hurry. So the workaholic me has strike again! I started looking for jobs from jobstreet.com, the newspaper and even walk into banks asking for a job. I sent out copies of my resume and I'm waiting for their closing date before I can get a response.

OK, so I got one marketing consultancy firm asking me to attend their interview (the first job that I applied for). So I went on Monday for a PRE-LIMINARY interview. Which is less than 15 minutes! On the day itself in the evening, I got a phone call asking me to go for a second interview which is the final interview. SO I went today and they say they wanna hire me. Good you say? Nope.. cuz its more like a direct sales company! So here I am ranting about the interview!

Nevermind.. another job will come by. Cuz I really did send out a FEW (ten only) copies of my resume. I'll just have to be persistent and don't give up! While waiting, I should concentrate on my coming exams, which is the very last time I'm gonna be taking them! Wait untill I finish my exams, I'll send out my resumes in mass volume! Haha..

Reason No. 1: thesis is DONE!!

Heehee... ^^ I'm really happy and relieved. Those heavy tonnes of worries are now gone. Well, actually I haven't send the thesis for printing and binding yet but all the typing done and I'm proud of it! Happy happy! I'm in an extremely good mood today. Cracking jokes all day long.. laughing and smiling 'till my facial muscles ache..

Reason No. 2: Yuki-chan is extremely fat!

Now both Bee Bee and me calls her fei-po! Chuckles! We went to the vet for her 2nd vaccination and the vet said that she's a bit too fat. To the point of over-weight. But I thinks that she's very very cute. When she runs around the room, those fatty lumps on her stomach keep on bouncing! Chuckles! I'm not complaining though. The fatter, the rounder, the more cuter she is! Awww... Ain't she cute!

Oh, by the way she's going to be neutered after Chinese New Year. So maybe she'll lose some weight after the operation.

Fetish

I'm going out of my mind! Don't know why I'm always hooked onto manga characters with glasses! I love Hakkai/Tenpou of Saiyuki, Tatsumi and Muraki of Yami No Matsuei, and of course Kichi from the Love Mode manga (tq sango.. luv u muaakkss).

Man with glasses always made me feel that they are cunning, smart, considerate, and caring. And if the glasses would go with a sly casual smirk that just match... awww... they're simply irresistable! (melts..)

Right now I'm clicking through the scanlations of Saiyuki Gaiden and I'm drooling over Tenpou's beautiful face.. He's so sexy with glasses! XD

No wonder Bee Bee wears spectacles too! ^0^

Holiday or not? II

Tired.. headache.. mentally drained.. (the 3 tokens of gratitude you get from the ever grateful examinations!) Now it's the beginning of a long 1 week break before the last idiotic moral paper. Gotta admit I didn't do well in the strategic planning & management paper just now. Aih.. don't wanna think about it anymore. Let's cheer myself up a bit!

Christmas - the best time of the year is just around the corner! I'm already in the festive mood since the end of November. Can't wait to spent the Christmas eve with my buddies. But I'm not sure will they come this year.. I still haven't tell them yet. Yo, nigo, sango, yongo... (waving both hands high in the air) are you guys coming this year? Do come cuz.. it won't be the same without you people. I'm looking foward to the fireflies trip too! ^^

But then again.. my thesis is stil not yet done! (Puts both palms on the face. Holding my own head hard) I gotta finish it as soon as possible. I'll continue to work on the literature review tomorrow. T_T

Yuki-chan!

I got a new kitten! Little Yuki-chan is so kawaii! Got her from the SPCA at Ampang. Bee Bee insisted that I should get a cat since I drool over one whenever I saw one on the street. Yuki-chan is not staying at my place but at Bee Bee's. Bee Bee gave her the whole master bedroom since his entire house is empty. She's a very cute kitten but it's quite suprising that she doesn't mew much. She's very quiet. She doesn't go meow and meow non-stop like Christmas (my preveious cat). However, she's very playful and energetic. I played with her the entire afternoon today. She's just too adorable! Those round blue eyes and un-even mix of vanilla and chocolate ice-cream fur coat makes her angelic! Exteremely cute! VERY VERY CUTE!! Meow... ^_^
